Firefly

The Firefly Program provides supervised and supported family contact services. The level of support is determined after reviewing the information available to us, including parent intake information, child needs, applicable court orders or agreements, referral information, and safety considerations.

Supervised Parenting Time

Neutral, structured, child-focused support that helps parenting time feel safer, more predictable, and clearly documented.

Situations We Can Support

  • Court-ordered supervised visits
  • High-conflict custody situations
  • Parents transitioning back to parenting time
  • Child intervention involvement
  • Parents with safety restrictions
  • Voluntary supervision where parents agree
  • Supervised exchanges

Parent-Child Contact Services

  • In-person supervised parenting time
  • Virtual supervised contact
  • Sibling or family contact when included in the agreement
  • Factual visit notes and structured observation
  • Coaching or redirection when included in the service agreement
  • Clear arrival, departure, communication, and safety expectations

Supervised Exchanges

Structured, child-focused transfers between parents and/or caregivers that reduce direct contact, confusion, and conflict.

Exchange Only: Parent A drops off, Alta Care receives the child, and Parent B receives the child. Transportation is not included.

Exchange with Transportation: Planned transportation between agreed locations, with mileage and travel details confirmed in advance.

Complex Exchange: Enhanced coordination for multiple children, two locations, significant waiting, complex logistics, or special safety requirements.

Community Companion Services

  • A dependable companion beside you for appointments, errands, routines, transportation, and everyday moments where extra support makes things easier.
  • Planned transportation to school, appointments, programs, recreation, errands, and community locations
  • Appointment companionship for children, adults, and seniors
  • Support before, during, or after medical, dental, legal, school, or community appointments
  • Errands, grocery shopping, pharmacy pickups, walks, recreation, and community access with clients to build skill and capacity
  • Friendly scheduled visits and social connection
  • Public transit learning, community navigation, routines, reminders, and organization
  • Short-term transition support following a move, new school, program, home, or routine (support available for pre-transition planning and support)
