When recruiting for positions, Alta Care Resources practices employment equity and fair hiring processes. The Agency hires only the most qualified individuals to ensure best practices and services throughout the organization. Alta Care Resources has adopted this policy to ensure that all employees and potential candidates are considered for employment opportunities in a fair and consistent manner. Interim positions are appointed; employees in an interim position will be considered equal with all other internal job applicants if the position becomes permanent.

All candidates and current employees or students that are interested in applying for a position must submit a resume detailing their credentials. Resumes will be screened to ensure the applicant meets the educational and/or professional work experience requirements and conditions of employment as detailed on the job posting. Two years of relevant work experience may be accepted as equivalent to one year of educational requirements.

Candidates will be interviewed by a minimum of two interviewers, either individually or in a group of other candidates. The candidates will be evaluated based on their capabilities, skills, and experience, as well as their ability to be part of the Alta Care Resources team. To ensure consistency and compliance with human rights and labour legislation, each candidate will be assessed from a selection of standard interview questions. Alta Care Resources believes in equal opportunity in employment practices during all phases of an employee’s employment including the initial recruitment and hiring period.

In the recruitment and hiring process, Alta Care Resources promotes employee diversity and will continue recruitment efforts to attract new employees with Indigenous or culturally diverse backgrounds.
